Back at the beginning when humans roamed the countryside and didn’t really have strong infrastructures, they mostly kept to themselves. Cities grew around water bases and high points that could protect their backs from invaders. They stayed clear of the mountains because of the myth of dragons living within. They came to believe that dragons were mindless beings that would scourge the earth and destroy the land humans inhabited.
A firm base formed in the northern mountains, though. Barracks were built and a small town called Garchen grew up around it. It was founded by the first SwordMaster Gavin Garchen, and his men who came to call it home. Families took root within the town and they became a force to be reckoned with.
But the SwordMasters continued to grow as they took in children from other tribes around the area. Some were considered orphans, while some were pledged to their care to make powerful warriors out of them. This base of soldiers would go out into the world to protect those in need. And yes, they came up against dragons, and also considered them mindless beasts.
However, after a time. Two SwordMaster Brothers took to walking the countryside together to find any worthy of their calling and to protect those in need. Along the way they stumble upon a girl named Karigan. She is just a simple farmer’s daughter who has an interesting friend. They come to take her with them with her father’s blessing as her friend Silvashi goes with them.
Along the way they meet other raiders, orcs, and ogres. And other wild beasts that lead to Karigan’s and Silvashi’s bond to grow stronger. But other dragons come to realize that one of their own has been befriending the humans and seek to destroy him and humans. However, Silvashi shows that humans and dragons can be united in their destiny.
That is when the War of the Dracos breaks out. Silvashi and his brethren on one side the wild dragons on the other. They fight and eventually the gods intervene. Karigan proves that Silvashi and her bond are more than what they seem. And that is when the goddess Serene and Mortez bless the bond and create the first dragon rider.
They defeat the wild dragons and even get some of them to come over to their side. The gods help with creating the bonds in others and help the power of the rider to grow. But Mortez and Serena are the gods that sit over the riders and protect them. Through this war another protector has been born to help keep the peace on behalf of the gods. But will it always remain peaceful? Wait to find out, because Karigan’s journey has only begun within the pages of “Bonds of Friendship.” I do plan to create a series that will incorporate this journey. But until then, read along with each new release to find out more about the world of Tarzinëa.
