Hello riders!
Welcome back to a beautiful Monday here on my blog. Things are going to start changing around here with content and flow for how things appear in the future. But that is not what this post is about. Today I am touching on how things are going with my first Kickstarter Campaign for my anniversary edition of Tales of Ferrês.
My main goal for followers is to get to 100 by August. I am happy to say that I am officially at 42 as of writing this post. Right now I have been in the trenches doing backer swaps, blog spotlights, newsletter swaps, and social media shares with all the Kickstarter Authors I can find. It is easy though because I am in an experienced kickstarter Facebook group that helps set up cross-promos with fellow authors.
The hardest thing about this campaign I am doing is the fact that it isn't romance. A lot of the campaigns happening right now have some kind of romance element which makes it hard to do cross-promos with. But there are several that are clean enough that I am able to swap with and feature here on my blog. If you haven't noticed that on Fridays I feature Silver Dagger Book Tours in the morning and mid-day then a Kickstarter Spotlight in the afternoon. Then I feature DS Book Promotions Tours on Saturday and Sunday with Kickstarter Spotlights to switch off the days.
Now I know this post isn't that exciting but I am super stoked about how things are going with my campaign so far. I am happy to say that I got the basic paperback and hardcover done that will be available for store distribution once the campaign is done. Received the proofs last week and love them so much.
As for the Foiled Editions of the Paperback and Hardcover I am waiting on the foiled files from Grady. Then I plan to order proofs of those formats then I will have them for my backers. I am currently publishing these books through Bookvault and so far I am happy with the printer. The nice thing about using Bookvault is that I can hook it up to my PayHip store to drop ship orders.
This week I featured a flash fiction piece and fun mock-ups of the book over in my Followers Update area. You can head over there right now and check it all out. Make sure to click the NOTIFY ME ON LAUNCH button to make sure you get access to all the updates and launch announcement.
When it comes to this blog I will start creating a world around it and try to build a home for my books themselves here for your enjoyment. Right now I have the rough draft of one of my short stories that I plan to feature this month. I am trying to decide if I am going to feature the entire story at once or break it into two parts. This might make things more fun on my part. But feel free to give me your suggestions in the comments below.
Should I release the full Mazu's Hatchling Adventure in one installment or would you be happy with it being broken into two parts. This would mean the story would be longer if I break it into two parts but shorter if I keep it in one part. So tell me what you think...
