Another week has gone and I am still working my butt off on Kickstarter preparations and writing my next book. Right now I am sitting at 5 followers on Kickstarter for my Tales of Ferrês Special Anniversary Collections. I need to get it to 10 in order for it to show live on the page. If you can help share it around that would be great. Or if you can even click the Notify Me on Launch button that would be fantastic.
I finally decided all that I plan to put into the books but it will depend on the stretch goals themselves that will say if they happen or not. Check out what you will get with the follow formats:
eBook Edition: Custom designed cover by Grady Earl and custom designed chapter headers by me (Katie Jenkins-Merical) the author. The headers are designed to depict the type of creatures mentioned within the specific story inside the book.
Customized Chapter Header for "A Father's Protection."
Paperback Edition: Custom designed cover by Grady Earl with custom designed chapter headers by me (Katie Jenkins-Merical) the author. Stretch goals for this edition will be foiling on the cover and sprayed edges.
Cover foiling and sprayed edges are not shown on this image.
Hardcover Edition: Custom designed wrap by Grady Earl with case bound cover designed by me (Katie Jenkins-Merical) the author. I also did the customized headers in this book since it is the same throughout all the formats. Grady also created beautiful character art that opens up each chapter within the hardcover edition. Stretch goals for this edition is to get full color pages for the character art, foiling on both the case bound cover and wrap, and sprayed edges.
Covers don't show foiling and sprayed edges.
I do plan to include swag with tiers I offer. One thing I am super excited about is doing mystery book boxes that include all kinds of goodies from swag to items that book lovers will enjoy. Not sure if I am going to offer this as an add-on option or put it in my highest tier. If you have any suggestions on the matter leave your thoughts in the comments.
Needless to say that I find getting followers hard right now. I'm new to Kickstarter so that means I have to build a reputation first there. So I will take my time and hopefully I can get 100 followers by the time August rolls around. If not we will see where we are at and if I feel ready to launch the campaign or not. I will keep you all updating here, my newsletter, social media, and of course on Kickstarter itself.
I hope you all have a great week and enjoyed your Valentine's Weekend. What do you think of the covers so far? Are you as excited as I am about the journey this book is going through to get into print? I no, I am.
