I got through the red tape to get my first-ever pre-launch page created on Kickstarter. I used the banner above for my Kickstarter campaign. The process was long, and it took me a weekend to get the basics set up. But my overall plan was to get the basic tier rewards, items, and start of my story page for the official page before I submitted.
Once I submitted on Monday I didn’t have to wait long. They seemed to be eager to share my Special Anniversary Collection of my Tales of Ferrês bundle book. I probably only had to wait about 2 to 3 hours for approval. Then I set up my pre-launch page and have kind of been busy working through the best way to share it around.
The first thing I did was go to the (experienced) Kickstarter group on Facebook. Found the posts for campaigns that would run through the rest of the year. They had a February and beyond. Then a March and beyond post. I got my campaign on those two threads. Then set to work finding at least two kickstarters I could swap with for my newsletter that is going out on February 15th. Got that done pretty easily and looking forward to gaining 10 followers.
Yeah, 10 followers is the minimum you need to see your follower count on Kickstarter. This means I need your clicks on the Notify Me at Launch button. If you enjoyed this series in the past and would like a special edition to add to your collection, whether it be eBook or print format please head over to my campaign page and click the Notify Me at Launch Button. I will then be able to send you updates through Kickstarter without you having to look on all my different sites for information.
Right now I am going to take things slow and do a few things at a time as time grows closer to August. This way I can keep up on the updates and help those find my books. Plus, I have a deadline in April for my book featuring Billy and Kÿla.
Guess what! They have a story in Tales of Ferrês too. It is A Forbidden Friendship and the book in April is the continuation of that story that I plan to make into a trilogy. I will talk more about this as time goes on, too. But I have writing to get done and a Kickstarter to build so I hope I keep everything straight.
