What are you passionate about these days?
When I think of passion, I think of strong emotions, and I’m not so sure that’s how to describe the way I’m feeling these days. I love sitting at home, especially when it’s quiet and the fire’s going. I love the peace of not having to be somewhere. I do a lot of work from my computer, writing, illustrating for others, formatting for other authors, as well as my own work. Marketing: making videos, word art, banners. I’ve been helping a friend put a Kickstarter campaign together, and that’s been fun. I’m passionate about the screenplay I’m writing with a few other screenwriters since it’s from one of my books, and they are excited about it. We’re reliving the story together. So yeah, that’s what I’m passionate about right now. But I’ve been enjoying a few football games and watching them with my husband.
I’m also passionate about my faith even though I keep it quiet for the most part. If the need arises, I’ll pray or discuss Scripture. Our belief system is what we are. It’s our fundamental makeup, the link that holds our bodies, souls and spirits together. I believe in Jesus and the sacrifice He made for mankind. It amazes me that people argue about whether there’s a God or not and say that Bible isn’t true and yet look at the state the world is in. How can you not say man isn’t a sinner and needs redeeming? Anyway, I don’t want to sound preachy, but that’s my passion first and foremost.
Putting all of these things into my stories, fleshing them out in a way that tells a tale that lives beyond the reading of the last page, that’s a goal I’m passionate about. Pouring myself into words that others can read and maybe get something out of, that’s my passion. So yes, thanks for asking!
