Long before the age of kings and noblemen, people scattered across the countryside of Tarzinêa. Many clustered together to help grow in strength, which helped create the founding towns and cities that exist today. Leaders were raised up among the ranks of men to lead those who couldn’t guide themselves. They created armies and gained followings to help protect the innocent.
They assumed the worst enemy was the men who would attack at night to steal their lands, but they were wrong. In a day and age when creatures from the Forest of Ferrês ran free within the world, the people found anything could come out of the trees to devour them whole. However, the greatest enemy they came to face was the wild dragons.
The dragons would hole up in the mountains or in caverns near towns and villages. People would do their best to avoid them but they still crossed paths. This led to a new rank of soldier to emerge called the knights. They would go out to hunt the dragons and force them from their homes; many didn’t come back alive.
Over time, the bitter rivalry between the two came to a head. And warriors born from magic stepped forward to protect the innocent. These warriors were masters of both sword and magic. They were called SwordMasters, believed to have been born from the will of the GrandMaster of the northern mountains, a powerful god long forgotten.
The hatred was deep in the people and beasts until the day came that a farm girl named Karigan found herself inside the Forest of Ferrês. She met a dragon named Silvashi that was just a mere hatchling. Though she fled in fear Silvashi knew she was special and pursued her through the woods. Once cornered Karigan realized dragons weren’t mindless beasts after all. They were misunderstood just like her.
